Founded in 1995, Akren Iplik is a manufacturer of 100% acrylic yarns, acrylic blended yarns (i.e. wool/acrylic, cotton/acrylic, viscose/acrylic, viscose/linen/polyamide etc.) as well as fancy yarns, serving knitters, socks manufacturers, upholstery manufacturers, weavers and fancy yarn producers. Between 1997 and 2001, production lines at Yenibosna factory in Istanbul have been renovated with state of the art equipment. In 2005 Akren s new factory in Velimese, Corlu started production. With this new establishment, worsted yarn production capacity has reached 9-10 tons per day while yarn dyeing capacity has been currently increased daily to 15-16 tons.Since June 2005, hank dyeing and tops dyeing facilities were integrated with the production.
