PLA Draw Textured Yarn (DTY) is a type of continuous filament made from polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and eco-friendly polymer derived from renewable plant-based resource. Our raw material is sourced from sugarcane. PLA DTY is produced through a draw texturing process that stretches and heat-sets the PLA pre-oriented yarn (POY) using a twist-untwist method, creating a spring-like structure. This results in crimped, elastic, and soft fibers that offer exceptional texture and durability.
