Nova Filament, the textile division of İmam Kayalı Oğulları Otomotiv San. ve Tic. A.Ş., started polypropylene yarn production in 1997. The company operates in the Gaziantep 2nd Organized Industrial Zone on a 10,700 m² area with a 2,750 m² indoor production facility. With additional investments made in 1998, 2002, 2007 and 2018, Nova Filament increased its production capacity and expanded its product range. The company follows technological developments and market demands closely and is among the few manufacturers capable of producing low denier multi-filament yarns. Nova Filament produces polypropylene CF multi-filament POY and FDY yarns in the range of 70–2000 dtex and performs texturizing processes. Monthly production capacity varies between 150 and 450 tons depending on yarn specifications. The group has been operating in several sectors, mainly textile and automotive, since 1950.
